Whole plant: Latex used as an effective cure for dysentery.
Stem: A clyster is used for "carabisi sickness". Decoction of the bark mixed with the barks of Hymenaea sp. and Humiria sp. is used as an effective cure for dysentery. Bark used to treat "buck sick"; emetic.
